On the orders of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government the government's goal is to provide a better environment for foreign investment in the Kurdistan Region

Following the participation of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government in the Davos Economic Forum and meeting with several economic figures and officials of countries, he instructed the relevant offices and parties of the Kurdistan Regional Government to investigate the situation of foreign investment in the Kurdistan Region and visit them closely.
 

In this context, today Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil and Dr. Mohammed Shukri, chairman of the KRG Board of Investment, accompanied by Mr. Olivier Decottignies, French Consul General in Erbil and Khalid Al-Shamrani, Deputy Consul General of Saudi Arabia in Erbil, they visited Al Safi Danoni factory in Erbil, which is a Saudi-French joint venture and has been marketing its products in the Kurdistan Region and all other Iraqi provinces since 2014.

In a meeting, the governor of Erbil and the chairman of the KRG Board of Investment, with the supervisors, managers and engineers of the factory closely examined the needs, problems and shortcomings and the services that the KRG should provide them and announced :”On the order of Mr. Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the government's goal is to provide a better environment for foreign investment in the Kurdistan Region, and expressed their readiness to solve all the shortcomings and services that need to be provided”.

Then the factory supervisors gave a brief overview of the factory's production line, how it works, the type and rate of daily production, and how to market their goods.

Finally, the governor of Erbil, the Chairman of the KRG Board of Investment, accompanied by the French Consul General in Erbil and the Deputy Consul General of Saudi Arabia in Erbil, visited all parts of the factory.
