In Erbil... Construction of "Chinese Park" has been completed and it will be opened soon
In an effort to increase green spaces within the Erbil governorate, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China initiated the construction of a new park.The project is a collaboration with the Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Municipalities, the Erbil Governorate, and the Department of Foreign Relations. Designed in a style that reflects Chinese culture, the park is located in the Naz Naz neighborhood of Erbil and covers an area of 11,000 square meters. Construction on the park is now complete, and it is expected to open to the public soon.
In addition to the construction of that park, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China, in coordination with the Erbil Governorate, has previously installed (90) of the most advanced solar-powered street light poles on Halabja Shaheed Street. They have now also pledged to build (8) other "Chinese" parks in Erbil.
It is worth mentioning that the "Chinese Park," located in the Naz Naz neighborhood of Erbil, has been built on an area of (11,000) square meters, which is equivalent to (4.5 donums) of land provided by the Erbil Municipality. Of this area, (900) square meters have been designated as green space, and (125) meters have been allocated for pedestrian and sports paths. The park has three main entrances and "3,500" various trees have been planted in it.
