The event was held in the hall of the Syriac Heritage Museum.

During the activity, the importance of preserving one's native mother tongue was highlighted. It was reiterated that the language of any nation is not merely the heritage of that nation, but rather a heritage of humanity, and protecting it from extinction is protecting the culture and dignity of the global community. The Kurdish nation has also made many sacrifices and launched revolutions for the survival of its mother tongue. In fact, one of the most significant achievements of the March 11th Agreement, led by the immortal Barzani, was the protection and establishment of the mother tongue.

Furthermore, on the same occasion, the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Ministry of Component Affairs, in coordination with each other, announced the project of printing six Kurdistan Regional Government postage stamps, which represent the six living languages of the Kurdistan Region's components. Also, during the ceremony, an artistic documentary film dedicated to the occasion and Syriac dances and performances were presented.
