Erbil Governor: In terms of arts and culture, as Erbil, we are not inferior to other nations and peoples

On Wednesday, February 1, 2023. In the presence of Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw, Director General of Culture and Arts of Erbil Farhang Ghafur chaired a meeting with the directors of departments under the General Directorate of Culture and Arts of Erbil.
In the meeting that was attended by the Director of Erbil Institute of Fine Arts, Director of Erbil School Activities and representatives of Erbil College of Fine Arts, several main topics of the work and activities of the directorate were discussed.

The most important of which were:

Preparations for the 13th March and Newroz Festival in Erbil, as well as presenting the problems and needs of the capital's halls for cultural and artistic activities, the issue of budgeting for artistic activities and many other topics.

In his speech, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw spoke about the authenticity of Kurdish art and artistic activities and stressed that Erbil has a unique and rich culture. Especially in the field of national art and music, so we should be proud of it and show it to future generations, he stressed that we Kurds in general and Erbil in particular, in the field of culture are not inferior to other nations and peoples.

After discussion and receiving suggestions from the participants. The governor of Erbil reaffirmed his readiness and support for all artistic and cultural activities in Erbil.
