Land has been set aside for fifteen (15) heavy and medium industrial projects

Today, Monday, February 27, 2023. Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw chaired a meeting of the Development Committee, in the presence of Hemin Qadir and Massoud Karash, Deputies of the Governor and all members of the committee, to further develop industrial projects, increase labor and domestic production, and encourage the private sector to invest in Erbil, as well as provide industrial project support.

The meeting discussed the development and revitalization of the industrial sector, as well as the work, products, goals, and objectives of industrial projects, as well as the provision of job opportunities in Erbil governorate, then out of (26) heavy and medium industrial projects that had applied for land for their projects, (15) heavy and medium projects were approved and decided to provide land, 9 projects were postponed for further study and follow-up and (2) projects were rejected.
