On the occasion of Newroz, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government extends congratulations

On Monday, March 20, 2023. Masrour Barzani, president of the Kurdistan Regional Government, congratulated all Kurdistanis on the occasion of the Newroz holidays.

The text of the congratulations is presented below:

On the occasion of Newroz and the Kurdish New Year, I express my warmest congratulations to all Kurdistanis, especially the heroic Peshmergas, internal security forces, and the proud families of martyrs and Anfal victims. I hope that the holidays bring you joy and serenity. In addition, I request citizens to protect the clean environment and beautiful nature of Kurdistan on their trips. Additionally, observe the road laws and avoid speeding.

Newroz is a Kurdish symbol of unity, victory, and freedom.

On this occasion, we emphasize the Kurdish people's unity and solidarity in order to protect national achievements and defend our constitutional rights.

On this occasion, in the public interest and to dispel the concerns of our dear citizens and create a positive atmosphere, I call on the Deputy Prime Minister and the ministerial team of the Kurdistan National Union, to return to the Council of Ministers meetings after the Newroz holidays, so that to discuss all issues in its official place and work together to serve the people of Kurdistan and implement the agenda of the Kurdistan Regional Government's ninth cabinet.
