Mala Ahmad, renowned as a prominent Kurdish classical poet and a key figure in the development of the Butane Kurdish dialect, is commonly referred to as "Malay Cezire."

The Governor of Erbil and his delegation also toured the Red School, recognized as one of the five oldest Islamic schools globally. This institution holds significance as a place where numerous Kurdish scholars and poets, including Malai Cezire and the scholar Ibn al-Atheer, received their education.

During his tour, Governor Omed Khoshnaw visited the shrine of Mem and Zein, renowned heroes of a legendary love tale from Kurdish literature. The two lovers were laid to rest in adjacent graves, commemorating their enduring story of love. This narrative of their affection resonates throughout Kurdish literature, songs, poems, and novels. For the people of the Cezire of Butan, the saga of Mem and Zein constitutes an integral part of their history and culture, evoking centuries of mourning and reverence.
