Environmental Observatory: Erbil has the best air quality in Iraq

The Green Iraq Observatory for the Environment and Climate confirmed, on Saturday, that the cities of the Kurdistan Region are better than the rest of the other provinces in air quality, which is related to people's health.

The Observatory stated in a press statement that “the observatory’s digital information department monitored through the IQAir platform specialized in protecting the air from airborne pollutants, as Erbil and the rest of the cities of Kurdistan advanced in ranks over the rest of the cities of Iraq, including the capital, Baghdad.”

He added, "Erbil ranked first in Iraq, with a rank of 72, and Baghdad ranked 80," noting that "the site's classification of these numbers comes within the healthy moderate atmosphere, that is, between the healthy atmosphere and the danger to the general health of people."
