Mourning Ceremony Held for the Late "Archbishop Mor Gregorios Saliba Shamoun"

Today, Sunday, July 20, 2025, representing the Honorable Prime Minister of Kurdistan, Masrour Barzani, a delegation including Pshtiwan Sadiq, Minister of Endowment and Religious Affairs; Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; and Ano Jawhar, Minister of Transportation, attended the mourning ceremony for the late "Archbishop Mor Gregorios Saliba Shamoun."

The ceremony took place in the center of Ankawa district. The delegation conveyed their condolences and sympathy for the passing of the former advisor and Archbishop of (Kurdistan, Kirkuk, and Mosul).
 

They offered their condolences to His Holiness Patriarch "Mor Ignatius Aphrem II" and all attendees, praying that God Almighty grant peace to the soul of the deceased and provide comfort to everyone.
