Erbil Governor: "In this year's plan, which is currently on the verge of preparation, after receiving approval at a cost of (14 billion and 252 million dinars) will start to implement health sector projects"

On Tuesday, February 14, 2023. In the Presence of Dr. Saman Barzanji, Minister of Health, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Sarbast Lazgin, Head of KDP organization in Erbil, Hiwa Ahmad Mustafa, Leadership member of KDP & Head of Branch 24, Ano Jawhar, Minister of Transport and Communications, Halgurd Sheikh Najib, Head of Soran Independent Administration, Bland Ismail, head of KDP branch 2, Zana Mala Khalid, the head of the KDP in Kurdistan’s Parliament, Massoud Karash, Deputy Governor and Director General of Health, and a number of other members of Kurdistan Parliament Doctors and health workers of Erbil General Directorate of Health held a conference to review and evaluate the activities of 2020-2022 and future plans on the occasion of Erbil Health Day.

In a speech, the governor of Erbil, while congratulating the Erbil General Directorate of Health, for presenting data and information on their activities, said: "The past three years have been three difficult and crisis years due to the coronavirus, Erbil governorate, despite many victims, we were able to escape the coronavirus, so we consider it necessary to congratulate all the doctors and health workers who voluntarily became rescuers, they sacrificed themselves and reduced the number of victims.”

The Governor of Erbil praised the development in the field of health in Erbil, the capital, and said: "There are many health centers that we are proud of today, including: the Heart Center, the Awat Cancer Center, Nanakali Hospital, the Physical Rehabilitation Center and many other centers."

Finally, he added: “Last year, as Erbil governorate, good projects and works were carried out within the framework of development projects according to the available resources for the health sector, in this year's plan, which is currently on the verge of preparation, after receiving approval at a cost of (14 billion and 252 million dinars) will start to implement health sector projects in Erbil governorate."
