Erbil Governor Attends 44th Congress of Francophone Cities in Lausanne
Today, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, the 44th Congress of Francophone Cities commenced in Lausanne, Switzerland, with the theme "International Cooperation and Local Authorities: A Hub for Innovation."
Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw has received an official invitation to the conference, which will host 500 governors and mayors from 50 countries.
On the first day, several panels will be conducted on tourism issues, climate change, urban development, and various other topics.
The congress will continue until November 24. In addition to the panels, the first day will focus on reviewing joint programs and meetings of the standing commissions.
The second day will be dedicated to discussions on the conference's theme, "International Cooperation and Local Authorities: A Hub for Innovation." According to the agenda, the final day will feature a general meeting.
