Switzerland .... Erbil Governor meets with governors and mayors of Francophone cities
Today, Wednesday, May 22, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw engaged in several meetings with governors and mayors from Francophone cities on the sidelines of the 44th International Congress in Lausanne, Switzerland.
While highlighting the development of relations and enhanced coordination between the Kurdistan Region and Francophone countries, they discussed tourism, climate change, and urban development, stressing the importance of environmental protection and the impacts of climate change.
Notably, the International Association of French-speaking Governors and Mayors (Francophone) holds its congress annually in one of the member cities. This year, it is taking place in Lausanne, Switzerland, with 500 governors and mayors from 50 different countries participating.
The event is organized under the theme "International Cooperation and Local Authorities: A Hub for Innovation." The Governor of Erbil has received an invitation to attend the congress, which is scheduled to continue until May 24.
