Erbil Governorate Delegation Attends Funeral Ceremony at Iranian Consulate

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, a delegation from the Erbil Governorate visited the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil. The delegation included Hemin Qadir, Acting Governor of Erbil; Masoud Karash, Deputy Governor; Akram Ahmed, Assistant Governor; and Nabaz Abdul Hamid, Mayor of central Erbil.

To offer condolences, they were received by the Iranian Consul General, Nasrollah Rashnoudi.
 

During the visit, the Erbil Governorate delegation expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy for the death of President Ibrahim Raisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Abdullahian, and their companions following a helicopter accident in northwest Iran.

They conveyed the solidarity of the Erbil Governorate with the Islamic Republic during this painful tragedy.

The Iranian Consul General, for his part, expressed his thanks and appreciation, along with his country's gratitude, to the delegation from the Erbil Governorate for their condolences, sympathy, and solidarity.
