Erbil.. Conclusion of the women’s economic empowerment course

On Monday, June 4, 2024, the city of Erbil hosted the closing ceremony of the "Women's Economic Empowerment Training" course, attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Regional Government Qubad Talabani; Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Bigard Talabani; Minister of Higher Education Aram Muhammad Qadir; Minister of Culture Muhammad Saeed Ali; Minister of Commerce and Industry Kamal Muslim; head of the Foreign Relations Department Safeen Dizayee; and Governor of Erbil Omed Khoshnaw. Representatives from the United Nations Development Programme, the United States Agency for International Development, and other international missions also attended. Certificates were awarded to the 200 women who participated in the course across various cities and towns in the Kurdistan Region.
 

During the ceremony, several speeches were given, highlighting the Kurdistan Regional Government's support for projects that enhance women's capabilities in agriculture and poultry horticulture.

The speeches also emphasized the government's commitment to supporting women's efforts in self-employment, enhancing job opportunities, and revitalizing agricultural industrial projects. In their speeches, they highlighted the steps taken by the Kurdistan Regional Government to integrate the private and public sectors, aiming to empower women to showcase their products effectively.
