Erbil: The United Nations Wins Diplomatic Football Championship Title

The United Nations representative team clinched the title of the Diplomatic Football Championship, which was organized by the Department of Foreign Relations of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Erbil. They secured their victory on the evening of Saturday, June 8, 2024, by defeating the Jordanian Consulate in Erbil with a score of 4-3 in the final match.

During special ceremonies attended by the Governor of Erbil, Omid Khoshnaw, and representatives of foreign missions in Erbil, prizes were distributed to the winners.
 

It is noteworthy that this tournament was not just a sports event, but also a symbol of friendship, diplomacy, and international cooperation.
 

Twenty-four consulates and representations in Erbil participated in the tournament, organized by the Department of Foreign Relations of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
