A special event was organized on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day

On Monday, July 17, 2024, on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, a special event was held at the Peshawa Hall in the capital city of Erbil. The event was attended by Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, Bilind Ismail, the official of PDK's Branch 2, and a large number of youth and young adults.

The Governor of Erbil delivered a speech commending the supervisors and participants of the event. He highlighted that youth are the main pillar of progress in any society, discussing how they have overcome obstacles. Emphasizing the importance of learning from each other's experiences to advance society, he stressed the need to provide more opportunities for youth and to value their innovations and capabilities, which directly impact the country's progress and development.

It is worth noting that in 2014, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting, July 15th of each year was designated as World Youth Skills Day. The aim of this designation is to develop strategic plans to strengthen the capabilities of young people and to create a skilled youth segment in societies.
