Erbil recorded a standard number of tourist arrivals in the New Year

The ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government in order to diversify revenue sources pays better attention to the tourism sector and its development and for this purpose has taken several reform and facilitation steps in the interest of the sector, which has had an impact on increasing the number of tourists to the Kurdistan Region and Erbil.

During 2022.

More than (2,752,000) tourists from Iraqi and foreign provinces have visited Erbil and its surroundings. During the New Year holidays in 2023 alone, (61,658) tourists visited Erbil to participate in the New Year activities. Therefore, it is appropriate to thank all the security teams, police and service teams, as well as thanks to the direct supervision of the Minister of Municipalities and Tourism and the Governor of Erbil who were closely aware of the situation of tourists.

Thanks to all the tourism employees of Erbil who welcomed the tourists at the beginning of their arrival. We hope to welcome a large number of tourists in the future and provide them with the best service.
