Church of the Holy Apostles was inaugurated in Erbil in the presence of the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government

On Saturday, August 5, 2023, in the presence of Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region, the Cathedral Church of the New Eastern Assyrian Patriarchate "Holy Apostles," was inaugurated in Erbil.

During the ceremony, the President of the Kurdistan Region stated, "It has strengthened the multi-communal and multi-religious diversity of the Kurdistan Region, and the Kurdistan Region is beautiful with its diversity of communities and religions."
In addition, President of the Kurdistan Region stated that the inauguration of the church would play a significant role in preventing Assyrians from leaving the region. "We will not give up coexistence," he declared.
