The Governor of Erbil... Received a delegation from the presidency of Salahaddin University, Tishk University, and several Italian universities

On Monday, February 10, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, received a delegation from the presidency of Salahaddin University, Tishk University, and several presidents and professors from Italian universities who are visiting the Kurdistan Region to coordinate and establish academic relations and provide study opportunities at all levels and fields in Italy's prestigious universities.
 

The Governor of Erbil, while welcoming the university delegation, reaffirmed his support for joint academic and scientific agendas between Kurdistan Region universities and Italian universities, discussing planned initiatives for mutual cooperation through scientific research that aim to introduce Kurdistan Region's deep civilization to the world, noting that alongside its minerals, Kurdistan possesses great natural wealth inherent to its soil.

It is worth noting that this marks the first time that universities in the Kurdistan Region and KIFA institution, together with five Italian universities - the University of Bologna, Polytechnic University of Milan, University of Pavia, University of Piedmont, and University of Gastronomic Sciences - will conduct the largest international scientific and cultural workshop between Kurdistan and Italy.
