Erbil: Chess training course has begun

Today Saturday, June 10, 2023. Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw participated in a chess ceremony of the international coaching course.

The tournament, which is organized by the Iraqi Chess Union in conjunction with the Erbil Chess Academy, featured the participation of 39 chess players from seven countries.

The governor of Erbil emphasized the need for more chess expertise in his speech, and he saw this coaching course as a positive factor for well-known Kurdish coaches who are positioned at the highest level to become more familiar with this global game and make chess a family hobby, with every household knowing chess.

For three days, the lessons will be taught under the supervision of two World Chess Federation instructors.
