The Governor of Erbil congratulates workers on International Labor Day

On the occasion of May 1st, International Workers’ Day, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and blessings to the laborers of Kurdistan, Iraq, worldwide, and especially to those in Erbil.

On this occasion, alongside our profound respect, pride, and appreciation for the dedicated efforts of our workers and their pivotal role in the reconstruction of Kurdistan, we commend their contributions within Erbil Governorate and under the framework of labor laws in the Kurdistan Region. These laws were implemented as part of the reforms by the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Government, aimed at enhancing the lives and conditions of workers, safeguarding their rights concerning occupational health and safety, ensuring legal protection, and combatting all forms of persecution. We hereby reaffirm our commitment to upholding workers’ rights and fostering a conducive work environment, both in the public and private sectors.
