The Governor of Erbil receives the new British Consul General in Erbil

On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw received Andrew Beasley, the new British Consul General in Erbil, and his accompanying delegation at the Governor's Office.
 

During the meeting, Governor Khoshnaw congratulated Beasley on assuming his new role, wishing him success. He emphasized that the historical relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom have always been deep and strong, stating, "We will strive to deepen and strengthen these ties through bilateral programmes."
 

For his part, Consul General Beasley thanked the Erbil Governor for the unlimited support and facilitation of their work in Erbil. He added that the Consulate is interested in implementing joint projects, saying, "Our agenda will include exploring areas where we can cooperate with the Kurdistan Region and Erbil to expand our mutual relations."

The meeting also included an exchange of views on the election process and mechanisms for collaboration in various public service sectors.
