Erbil Governor and KRG Foreign Relations Chief, Accompanied by Consuls and Diplomatic Envoys, Tour Erbil Citadel and Bazaar on a Ramadan Evening Stroll

On Friday evening, February 27, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, and Safin Dizayee, Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government's Department of Foreign Relations, accompanied by foreign envoys and consuls, visited Erbil Citadel, the bazaar, and the Machko Cultural Café. They shared in the joy of the citizens during the Ramadan nights.

In this friendly gathering, the Governor of Erbil discussed with the guests the social and religious traditions of Erbil city, its ancient civilization, and the security, prosperity, and expansion of the city.

For their part, the consuls and diplomatic envoys expressed their pleasure with the hospitality and thanked the Governor of Erbil for providing such a wonderful atmosphere.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on strengthening the long-standing friendship between the consulates of various countries and the Kurdistan Region.
