Governor of Erbil receives a delegation of parliamentarians from the DEM Party

Today, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, at the Governor's Office, received a delegation of parliamentarians from the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party - DEM Party, headed by parliamentarian Meral Danıs Bestas. In the meeting, the Governor of Erbil expressed his pleasure at their visit to Erbil, the capital, and hoped that they would have a pleasant time during their stay in Erbil, the capital. For their part, the visiting delegation expressed their happiness with their visit to Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan, and with the peace, security, development, and stability present in the city.

In another part of the meeting, the Governor of Erbil expressed hope that the peace process in Turkey would be successful and reiterated that "President Barzani" has always emphasized the importance of the peace process as the only correct way to reach a solution and is a supporter and backer of the peace process.
 

He added, "Our hope and the hope of the people of Kurdistan is the success of the process of peaceful resolution of the Kurdish issue in Turkey, because war does not solve anything and no opportunity for peace in Turkey should be lost." The Governor of Erbil also wished good health and well-being for the politicians Ahmet Turk and Sırrı Sureyya Onder, who have been hospitalized for several days and are receiving medical treatment due to illness and unstable health conditions.

For their part, the visiting delegation thanked the Governor of Erbil for the reception and emphasized strengthening relations. They highly valued the Governor's support and wishes. They also thanked "President Barzani" for his efforts, endeavors, and support for the peace process in Turkey and reiterated that peace is in the interest of all peoples of Turkey, and that the Kurdish people desire peace and a peaceful solution.
