Over 700 Million Iraqi Dinars Collected for Rojava (Western Kurdistan) as a First Phase

This evening, Monday, January 26, 2026, Dr. Mohammad Shukri, Head of the Investment Board, and Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, held a meeting in the Investment Board, with the presence of the President, Vice President, and Spokesperson of the Investors Union, and representatives of the Barzani Charity Foundation, regarding the financial aid campaign for Rojava (Western Kurdistan).
 

The meeting focused on the financial assistance collected by a number of investors in the Region for Rojava through the Investment Board. For the same purpose, the Governor of Erbil and the Head of the Investment Board, in a press conference, praised the generous role of the investors, who demonstrate patriotic stances in difficult situations and reaffirm their support and assistance for the government and citizens of Kurdistan through their donations and aid.
 

In the past few days, the Investment Board announced a campaign to collect financial aid from Kurdistan's investors for our brothers and sisters in Rojava. As a first phase, over 700 million dinars were collected, and it is planned that this amount will be distributed to the affected people of Rojava through the Barzani Charity Foundation in the coming days.
