Erbil Governor Welcomes Secretary General of the Kurdistan National Democratic Union

Today, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, welcomed Ghafour Makhmoori, Secretary General of the Kurdistan National Democratic Union, and an accompanying delegation at the Governorate's office.
 

During the meeting, both sides emphasized strengthening relations with a national and patriotic spirit, developing democracy and coexistence, and working for the high interests of the country.
 

The guest delegation thanked the Governor of Erbil for all the coordination, cooperation, and facilities provided to them in the past to ensure the success of their work. They then expressed their appreciation to the Governor of Erbil for organizing and announcing the Erbil campaign to aid and assist our brothers and sisters in Rojava (Western Kurdistan), emphasizing full coordination and cooperation with the Erbil Governorate.
 

For his part, the Governor of Erbil highlighted the aid campaign and the collection of assistance to reach our brothers and sisters in Rojava as a national and patriotic duty for everyone. He also acknowledged the role of citizens and all individuals and parties who continue to support and back the campaign.
