Erbil's sister committee held its first meeting with other cities around the world After that, at the behest of the Governor of Erbil, a committee was formed to discuss and prepare  with other cities around the world under the leadership of the President of the Erbil Governorate Council and the membership of the relevant parties. Thursday, October 22,2022. In the Governorate council, under the supervision of Dr. Alli Rashid, the chairman of the committee and the presence of all its members, the committee held its first regular meeting.

At the meeting, discussions were held on how to develop relations with cities around the world, particularly those where a large number of Kurdistan refugees live, The visit of the high delegation of Erbil Governorate under the leadership of the Governor of Erbil to the city of Nashville in the state of Tennis of America was highlighted , which took place in mid - May this year and met with the city's sister board and top state officials , and was a successful visit and had a very good and important result . Preparations were also discussed to welcome the high delegation of The City of Nashville, which is expected to visit Erbil in the spring of next year to become more familiar with the capital of the Kurdistan Region and reach an agreement and understand the friendship and cooperation with Erbil.

Finally, emphasis was placed on improving relations between Erbil, the capital and other cities of the world, in the fields of culture, trade and investment, finding job opportunities for international companies and taking advantage of the experience of countries to further develop Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
