Erbil Governor Receives a Number of Representatives and Figures from Religious and Ethnic Components
On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, received a number of representatives and figures from religious and ethnic components at the Governorate Diwan on Kurdistan Flag Day.
During the meeting, while congratulating on Kurdistan Flag Day, he reiterated that the Kurdistan Flag is a symbol of resilience, sacrifice, peace, prosperity, and coexistence.
He then highlighted the further strengthening of brotherhood and coexistence among religious and ethnic components, emphasizing that the Kurdistan Region, including its capital Erbil, has always been a haven of coexistence, tolerance, reconciliation, brotherhood, and love for everyone, and is now a center and model in the region.
In conclusion, both sides agreed that Kurdistan is beautiful with its multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and multi-component nature, and that Kurds will not give up on strengthening this coexistence, which will be further developed and continued. This has become an important part of the Region and the capital Erbil, serving as a successful and remarkable example for the international community.
