This evening, Thursday, December 25, 2025, Dr. Pishtiwan Sadiq, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, representing the esteemed Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, along with the participation of Chia Harky, Deputy Head of the Erbil Organization Bureau of the KDP, visited (Mar Shimoni Church) in Ankawa on the occasion of the birth of Prophet Jesus Christ (peace be upon him).
They received a warm welcome from Patriarch Mar Awa, Bishop Bashar Matti Warda, Bishop Nicodemus Daoud, and Bishop Nisanaeil Nizar. The delegation congratulated their Christian brothers and sisters on the New Year and Christmas.
